Richard E Saylor, 49, of 32 Morgan Ct, Groton, husband of Kathleen (Jones) Saylor, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 5, 2010.

 

Ric was born on December 1, 1960 at Travis Air Force Base in California. He was the son of Rex W Saylor of Groton, and Masako Yoneyama of Japan. He was predeceased by his brother Kenny.

 

Ric worked at Electric Boat for 19 ½ years and served with the U.S. Army for 8 years. 

He was an avid fisherman and boater, and also enjoyed rebuilding small engines, working in the yard and gardening.

 

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday April 8, 2010 from 5-7 pm at the Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St. Interment will be private.
