Harold C. Cabral, 78, of 15 Alewife Rd. in Waterford, passed away Sun, Mar. 7, 20100 at his home.Harold was born on Aug. 24, 1931 the son of Anthony and Phoebe Payne.He had been married to the late Anita Lacharite Cabral on June 23, 1951. She passed away on Dec. 27, 1998. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he went on to work for many years as a laborer for the local trade union. In his retirement, Harold worked on a part time basis for the Fisher Florists Corp. in New London.  His survivors include 6 children Harold C., Jr. of New London, Anthony J. of Pawcatuck, John M. of Baltic, Kathryn Cabral of Waterford, Anita Sandt of Groton, Susan Klinefelter of Niantic, a brother Ronald of Uncasville, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Besides his wife, Harold had also been predeceased by a daughter Tanya Lynn Cabral and a son Robert S. Cabral.  Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London  Harold’s burial next to his wife will be held privately in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, New London.
