GROTON - Peter A. Connolly, 47, of 153 Laurelwood Rd., Groton, husband of Janice Connolly, died Sunday at his residence.

He was born October 9, 1962 in New London the son of Ruth Frye Connolly of Groton and the late William A. Connolly.

Peter worked s a painter in Fisher Island for BD remodeling and Restoration Co. He especially enjoyed kayaking and fishing and clamming in the Poquonnock River and Mumford Cove. He is member of the Groton Lodge of Elks.

He married Janice Zimmermann Connolly in Mystic on July 4, 1997.

In addition to his wife Janice and mother Ruth he is survived by his paternal grandmother; Mary Connolly of Groton, 4 step-sons; Eric, Joseph and Michael Zimmermann all of Groton and Scott Zimmermann of SC, a brother; Michael Connolly and his wife Kathy of PA, and 2 sisters; Patricia Glass and her husband Raymond of FL and Maura Bonner and her husband Chuck of Groton.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at the Byles-Groton Memorial, 310 Thames St., Groton, CT 06340. There are no visiting hours.
