On Saturday, January 30, 2010, Janet (Dumont) Jerome, 74, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. The youngest of three daughters, Janet was born on July 25, 1935 in Middletown Connecticut to Leonard and Noella Dumont. She was predeceased by her sister Claire Keene of Rocky Hill and is survived by her sister and dear friend Collette Tibbetts of Moosup.
Janet was the beloved wife of twenty three years to the late Robert Jerome. She was a caring and wonderful mother, sister, aunt and friend who was, above all, a proud memie. She also enjoyed many years of family trips to Vermont and her Boston Red Sox.
Janet leaves behind her four children: Leonard Estelle of Essex and daughters Noella Fitzpatrick of Lexington, South Carolina, Wendy Sautter of Groton and Jennie Albert and her husband Michael of South Windsor and her three step-sons: Benjamin Estelle of Middletown, Ronald Estelle of Durham and Gary Estelle of Suffield. Janet also leaves her "grand-babies" Shana, Lenny, Max, Maddie, Jason, Chad, Rob, Nick, Jack, Ben and five great grand-children. She will be sadly missed.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street, New London.
