Carol A. Blaise, 62, of Uncasville, CT. beloved mother of Brian and Dennis passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family Saturday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London.
She was born on Mar. 6, 1947 in Norwich, CT. the daughter of the late Alfred and Florence Kelly.
Carol had worked for over 25 years for the State of Connecticut, first at the former Norwich State Hospital and then as a substance abuse counselor for the Dept. of Corrections.
Devoted to her family, Carol always put family above herself. Carol was also a foster parent to over 15 foster children. Carol was also known for her knitting and crocheting skills, and love of cats.
She is survived by two sons Brian and his wife Marcie Blaise of Colchester, CT Dennis and his wife Jacqueline Blaise of East Lyme, CT. 3 brothers and their wives Alfred and Georgette Kelly, Jr. of Taftville, CT. Charles and Karen Kelly of Manchester, CT, James and Karen Kelly of Stafford Springs, CT. a sister and brother in law Joyce and Leon Dubreuil of Montville, CT. and 4 grandchildren who meant the world to her, Danielle, Jessica, Conner and Christine. Carol is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London
A Celebration of her life will be held privately by the family.
