Elinor Marshall Morse, 77, formerly of Nantucket Drive, Mystic died Jan.21, 2010 at the Pendleton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mystic, CT.
"Mickey" was born on April 30, 1932 to Anthony and Doris Rogers Marshall in Groton , CT. She graduated from Fitch High School in 1950 and attended Mitchell College in New London. While raising her two daughters, she pursued a career as a Telecommunications Operator and worked for the State of Connecticut at the Southbury Training School and Norwich Hospital.
Elinor enjoyed going to the many Connecticut country fairs where she was known to video tape the horse drawing competitions. She also loved to video tape and take pictures of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elinor is survived by two daughters, Roberta Morse-Tuttle married to Clem Tuttle of Gloucester, VA. and Elizabeth Morse married to Richard Wendorf of Cohasset, MA.; three grandsons, Matthew D. Morse married to Janet Morse of Uncasville, CT, Mark T. Cappetta of North Branford, CT and SPC Luke D. Willcox, Army National Guard, Camp Shelby, MS.; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Morse and Aidan James Cappetta; three brothers, Donald Marshall of Montville,CT, Anthony Marshall of North Stonington,CT, George Marshall of Ledyard, CT; a sister, Betty Cormier of Johnstown, PA.; several nieces and nephews: and two step-greatgrandchildren, Richard Bunch and Danial Lee of Uncasville, CT.
A service in celebration of the life of Elinor Morse will be held at the United Church of Stonington, 67 Main Street, Stonington, CT on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. A graveside committal service will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic.
